Stichtite is a beautiful mineral that is known for its striking violet to pinkish-purple colour. It is a relatively rare mineral and is often found associated with serpentine. Stichtite is a hydrated magnesium chromium carbonate mineral. It belongs to the class of carbonate minerals and is known for its vibrant colors, ranging from pink to purple. It was first discovered in Tasmania, Australia, in the early 1900s and was named after Robert Carl Sticht, an American mining engineer and amateur mineralogist. It is also known as Atlantistite.
